Feedback and Revisions

Some revisions I plan on making before my final submission to AICE are possibly changing my solid color backgrounds/full page picture backgrounds, touching up my two page article, and cutting and edging my text. These changes will definitely improve my project because it ill make it seem more like a real magazine that is clean cut, well written, and effectively made. I will carry out these changes in Adobe Indesign.

Indesign Class Activity

Today in class we utilized Adobe Indesign to lay out our 2 page spread. My experience using the software was pretty smooth and enjoyable. I was more comfortable using Indesign rather then overwhelmed. I was comfortable using the software because it was pretty self explanatory and my teacher was demonstrating the fundamentals. I've also have had a little bit of experience using this software in middle school. I do plan on using Indesign for quarter three revisions.

Use of Conventions-Magazine

Conventions my project uses are pictures, font, genre and color. It challenges convention by using a full page picture. The type of pictures I took are similar to other magazines but mostly relate to cooking ones. The font I used is pretty general for the reader but my title font is made to stand out to grab readers attention. The colors I used all followed a scheme so that the magazine would look pleasing.

The social groups my magazine relates to would be middle aged to older people. It would relate to cooks, tourists looking for a good restaurant, and just the general person looking for a new recipe.
